What a crazy few days it’s been, I hope you are all staying safe and well and are able to buy what you need from the supermarkets. I just feel super lucky to live on such a beautiful Island, we have fabulous open spaces where we can practise social distancing and I’m also able to gather amazing inspiration for future paintings.
Exhibitions and Shows
Sadly all my shows and exhibitions have been cancelled for the foreseeable future, Ive tried to keep the page on the website updated, some have been rescheduled, others have bitten the dust until next year. My heart goes out to all our organisers and fellow stallholders, it will be a challenging time for us all. If I can draw a positive from this, I now have lots of studio time so I’ll be able to catch up with some pieces that I’ve wanted to do for ages. I’m planning a return to watercolours and to paint some large things. Of course I will also have time for writing more blogs………!
Films and things
Something I am going to work on is filming. I have already produced a few films for YouTube but I’m planning on some step by step paintings for those of you looking for distraction at the moment. I’m also going to ‘go live’ on Facebook with a step by step Poppy Meadow painting, similar to that above. It’ll be on Friday 27th at 2pm on my page HERE I’ve already posted the equipment that you’ll need on there.
That’s all for now, take care of yourselves and each other,
Julia
