This is a print taken from an original painting that depicts a woodland in the early morning. The sky has shades of pink in it and in the foreground there is a carpet of flowers that I painted with acrylic paint.

Acrylic and oil based paints on canvas board. The overall size is just under 22″ x 22″.

This painting depicts a woodland just as the sun rises, I wanted to capture the very pale light with a slightly misty feel so used pastel colours. I created the randomness of the flowers with flicking and spattering, I dropped colours onto each other to create slightly surreal flowers. The painting was finished with sparkle mediums to create texture and shine.
