Acrylic paint on stretched canvas, the canvas size is 30″ x 20″.

I painted this piece using acrylic paint and brushes, it depicts the view of the west side of The Isle of Wight, also known as ‘The Back of the Wight’. I gathered the inspiration for the image whilst walking on St Catherines down, near The ‘Pepperpot” and The Hoy Monument. The weather was stormy but as it was windy it was quickly blowing over and there were brighter skies on the way, the title seems particularly appropriate as I painted it during the current covid pandemic
