Description
This painting was inspired by the view from “The Pepperpot” on St Catherines Down on the Isle of Wight, looking over to the west of The Island, affectionately known as ‘The Back of The Wight’. We have been lucky enough to have taken many walks in this area and very often stood looking out to sea watching storms over The English Channel. They often pass The Island by, but on the odd occasion when we have been drenched the sun quickly comes out again – hence the title.
I produced this painting using professional quality acrylic paints on a stretched canvas so it will remain in perfect condition for many years to come. My main colour palette was Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Lemon Yellow and Yellow Ochre with the odd touch of Mars Black and Quinacridone Magenta.
All prints are gallery quality and are produced on 240gsm archival paper using Epson Ultra Chrome pigment inks. They are mounted in textured antique white, acid free white core mounts to ensure they will remain in perfect condition for years to come.
Mounted prints are sent in clear protective bags with backing boards. A2 prints are sent rolled in a protective cardboard tube. For our framed prints we use simple contemporary narrow frames in either black or white depending on image. Unmounted prints are also available.
