Original Isle of Wight Painting
Winkle Street, Calbourne on The Isle of Wight is a quaint, peaceful lane full of chocolate box cottages, many of them thatched, that date from the 18th century. Also known as Barrington Row, a stream runs along the side of it where watercress grows and about half way along is a sheep-wash which dates from around 1640.
This is an original watercolour painting of the tranquil scene.
The painting measures 40cm x 40cm, the overall size including the frame is approx 22in x 22in, it has glass to protect it and is strung, ready to hang straight on your wall. In the foreground I have added extra embellishment to add sparkle and shine, the watercolours also contain earth pigments which add a gleam to the painting.
I only ever use professional quality materials so your art will remain in perfect condition for many years to come although we suggest avoiding direct sunlight.
